I have to admit, learning about being able to release trapped emotions–helping our body achieve it’s ideal healing by freeing emotional barriers standing in our way has been such an epiphany for meI I SO enjoy learning about things that can holistically get to the true root of issues–leading to a better quality of life–what’s not to love? However, I was enlightened even further about one week ago.
While seeing a wellness provider specializing in energy work, we discussed the merits of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)–addressed in my last article. My new healer shared a book she had on her desk titled “The Emotion Code” which she recommended as another emotional releasing option. She explained that this method helped identify specific trapped emotions through muscle testing for clearing which she encouraged me to explore further.
This book looked awfully familiar–and that would be because it was in my home library–hurrah! I just hadn’t taken the time to read it for Heaven knows what reason–timing once again. However, since I have a sense that this emotional blockage–which most of us are oblivious to–is a significant deal for all of us, I began reading it immediately.
The author of “The Emotion Code”, Dr Bradley Nelson DC has been a chiropractic physician, craniopath, holistic healer and teacher for many years. Since 1998, he’s been offering “the special healing knowledge that he’s gained through prayer, study and practice to others around the country in his seminars”.
At this point, I feel it could be helpful to make a comparison of these two methods of emotional release:
“The Emotion Code” can be likened to emotional surgery as many providers call it. Through kinesiology or muscle testing, (the book teaches numerous ways to do this), “The Emotion Code” process pinpoints the stress frequencies we call trapped emotions, and completely removes them from the body via magnetic release. The body is then able to balance itself as much as possible.
Here’s a good example of both being utilized: Once in a while a client goes to a session feeling frantic, or emotionally upset and feels inclined to talk about their issues beyond what is necessary for “The Emotion Code” work. By applying EFT for a few minutes the client is able to feel calmer. This helps maximize the time in our Emotion Code sessions.
Many EFT Practitioners have incorporated “The Emotion Code” into their work. One provider states: “Many of us have found that “The Emotion Code” is faster, more precise, and gives the client the benefit of a direct understanding of what emotional events have been vibrating in their bodies. It opens up a unique dialogue between our conscious and subconscious minds.”
Another therapist added: “I do both therapies and I think they are very different. Emotion code work is focused on releasing trapped emotions. EFT can be used for emotions, limiting beliefs, blocks to manifesting, etc. so I feel that it’s focus is much different than “The Emotion Code” work.
“The Emotion Code” is actually quite simple, yet so thorough in its scope because of how accurately the subconscious mind guides the process. This knowledge is power! It allows us to take a closer look at how stress impacts us. This knowledge empowers us to make necessary adjustments in our lives based on the impact our emotions have on the balance of our mind, body, and spirit.”
No matter which release speaks to you–your due diligence will serve you well. As for me, I’m choosing to attend an upcoming conference by Dr. Bradley Nelson in Austin to learn more and become certified to better teach and help others.
Disclaimer: Even though many conditions listed in the book that have shown improvements, here’s a quote “The Emotion Code”: “I am not saying that releasing trapped emotions is a cure all. ‘The Emotion Code’ should not be used by itself in attempting to address any major disease or medical condition, but rather it should be looked upon as an adjunctive or integrative therapy. When trapped emotions are contributing to physical illness, removing them can only help.”
Progress, not perfection Warriors!
