As I continued to ponder how to better routinely expect miracles, I’ve uncovered some helpful tips regarding how to be more in the flow of better recognizing my ongoing daily miracles.. I’m finding I continue to need help in this regard, and therefore, I’m making the rash assumption it could be helpful to you as well since ironically life seems to get in the way too much of the time for all of us.
Admittedly, my articles are about what comes up regarding my holistic wellness enlightenment journey–and guess what–you get to come along for the ride–so lets giddyup! (smile).
As previously stated I really love miracles, and honestly I do have an expectation of experiencing them daily.
That being said, I’ve been learning more about A Course in Miracles lately–that’s right–an entire book/course regarding finding inner peace through miracles. I had briefly learned about this spiritual option some time ago, but I hadn’t looked into it further since obviously the timing wasn’t there like it is now.
A Course in Miracles (also referred to as ACIM or the Course) is a 1976 book by Helen Schucman, a curriculum for those seeking to achieve spiritual enlightenment and/or change. The underlying premise is that the greatest “miracle” is the act of simply gaining a full “awareness of love’s presence” in one’s own life. The author claimed that the book had been dictated to her, word for word, via “inner dictation” from Jesus.
The Course consists of three sections: the “Text”, “Workbook for Students,” and “Manual for Teachers”. It teaches so much about true miracles. From this text, we learn that miracles are a shift of perception from fear to love. A miracle is an act of love; a remembrance of who we truly are.
ACIM is a self-study spiritual thought system based on love. It heals perceptions & reduces suffering through the continuous practice of forgiveness.
So meanwhile–how can we more fully experience miracles in our daily lives? Michelle Maros, a holistic health coach and writer has created the following quick miracle checklist:
Meditate daily
Set powerful, positive intentions
Practice present moment living
When stressed, remember that you can choose your thoughts and reactions
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude
Remember that love is our true purpose
Forgive others
Forgive yourself
Love yourself unconditionally
Trust that life unfolds as it should
These are just a few ideas to get us started in the miracle mindset! Michele’s experience shows that by incorporating these tips into our lives, we will find ourselves more in the flow of life, which will bring a sense of inner peace, abundance, and pure joy. And she also definitely recommends looking into A Course in Miracles to further our practice and expand our beliefs. There are many local book clubs, etc. available. For now, I have located and requested a daily quote from A Course in Miracles to help keep it in my consciousness.
“Miracles are natural. When they do not occur something has gone wrong.” – A Course in Miracles
I found this lovely meditation on my Insight Timer titled “Deep Breath”: Take a deep, deep breath of the Universe and wonder how we can ever take in this infinite energy and put it to work in our lives. Can we absorb this miracle of being and make some sense of how it all works or even accept that there is a greater meaning to this creation that gave us birth? And if we listen, the cosmos speaks to us in so many ways we can receive these words that communicate the mystic spirit that speaks in everything. Can we really touch each others souls and understand our true destiny and find some kind of meeting place that this amazing energy brings. And together we all seek to find some kind of hope and light. And the breath of the Universe connects us one day with God to that source of all in life. Take a deep, deep breath of the Universe and see the miracle of it all and allow this infinite energy to be alive in the wonder of it all.
You are a miracle, Warriors!
