As I’ve addressed in a few past articles that Trapped Emotions can be challenging to our mind, body and spiritual wellness. Possibly you may be wondering whether you have any or not, so I’ve provided a short survey below including some releasing options.
In review, emotions are energy in motion (e-motion) within the body that causes a variety of feelings such as joy, love, happiness, elation, anger, sadness, fear… These different emotions are energy which vibrates at different frequencies. Each frequency triggers a different feeling in the body.
Lower frequencies vibrations are unpleasant and make us feel bad (i.e. anxiety, anger, hatred, sadness, despair and fear, etc.) while higher frequencies give pleasant feelings and are called the frequencies of love (i.e. affection, gratitude, happiness, joy, elation, enthusiasm, etc.).
However, emotions resulting from pain or distress can be so strong they don’t get processed completely. When this happens, some part of the negative emotional energy becomes trapped–usually in an organ, gland or joint and at some point this imbalance may cause symptoms such as uneasiness, emotional ups and downs, depression, and /or physical symptoms.
Interestingly enough it has been determined that some Trapped Emotions may be formed during the delicate period of childhood, when our emotional body was developing while our mental body hadn’t even begun to develop. Some emotions became trapped during our time in the womb, and others we inherited from our ancestors–crazy right, but it makes sense.
To determine whether you might be emotionally trapped–take this survey:
Do you often have a short fuse and it doesn’t take much to set you off?
Do you have a lot of unexplained aches, pains and “mystery ailments” you can never seem to find the cause of?
Do you have a hard time feeling emotionally available and connecting to others on a deep level?
Are you easily triggered by emotional reminders of the past, like songs, smells, places.etc.?
Do you find yourself stuck in behavior patterns that you can’t seem to break no matter how hard you try?
Do you have a chronic illness, a physical condition or you always seem to get sick?
Have you experienced a physical or emotional trauma or a series of events that left an emotional scar?
Do you feel unloved or unworthy of love and have a hard time believing that others truly care about you?
Do you fall victim to self-sabotage, whether in relationships, careers, or life in general?
Do you make excuses for not going after what you want?
Do you find yourself repeating the past, either your own or that of someone close to you like a parent or sibling?
Do you frequently find yourself in conflict with others, whether emotionally or even in physical or verbal fights?
Are you your own worst critic and think or say negative things about yourself?
Do you struggle in romantic relationships and feel unable to receive love, even if you have a significant other or spouse?
Personal Note: I had several yes responses among these and am releasing numerous Trapped Emotions along the way (and feeling lighter and less burdened as a result)–yes, I will admit I’m a hot mess–however, getting less messy along the way (smile) I must admit it’s been enlightening how many I need to continue to release–who would have known? (I’ll keep you posted on my progress.)
If you answered “yes” to any or several of the questions above–you most likely have one or more Trapped Emotions. The good news is that they can be released, thereby taking your life back. You have several options moving forward:
Do nothing–hoping things will change.
Read “The Emotion Code” and learn how to muscle test and release Trapped Emotions from not only yourself, but also those you know and love.
Read “The Tapping Solution” which describes another technique called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and learn the meridian tapping option
