Someone has asked…what is a warrior? A Warrior is someone who is specially skilled, both in mind, body, and spirit to fight the fight…whether that is wellness or another type of battle. Warriors are also typically going to be much more strategic in their thinking, as well as, much more elite. A warrior fights based on a mission, a concept, or a principle. Warriors typically will have much more latitude in how they get their mission done with a belief that their natural abilities allow them the judgment to make changes while in battle to accomplish the mission. Intuitive wellness, I like that!
On the other hand, a sickness warrior is one who feels like a victim and hands over full responsibility to someone else’s care and does not question their course of care. They often feel like because they have been handed a particular diagnosis, they believe that is their fate for the rest of their lives. Oh contraire! Let’s use the example of fueling your car…if you put sugar in the gas tank your engine would break down. But when you would use the correct kind of fuel, it should run better and get you where you want to go. Here’s what I know…if you give the body the right tools, it can defend, repair and heal itself…just as it was designed. But that takes a “Warrior” frame of mind. That’s the purpose of my ebook and this column…to educate you on choices to make that happen. And since it is not a one-size-fits-all deal…you get to choose what sounds right for you. Take what you like and leave the rest.
